Screening for Pea Germplasms Resistant to Fusarium Wilt Race 5

چکیده
Fusarium wilt (FW), caused by oxysporum f. sp. pisi (Fop), has always been an important disease affecting pea production and causing severe yield losses in most pea-growing areas worldwide. Growing resistant cultivars is the economical effective method for controlling disease. In this study, firstly, 21 isolates were identified as races 1 5 of Fop based on morphological molecular characteristics, reactions seven differential cultivars. Then, a detailed resistance evaluation strategy was established validated death rate score, index, percentage leaves showing symptoms each individual plant. Finally, 1311 germplasm collection including 740 accessions from China 571 aboard or unknown sources evaluated to representative isolate PF22b race 5, results showed that 28 164 highly (HR) (R), respectively. Among these accessions, 13 HR 44 R collected 19 provinces China, which came Sichuan, Tibet, Gansu Provinces. The 15 120 10 countries outside sources, majority United States, Australia, Russia. findings would provide information using control wilt. Incorporating into breeding programs will contribute improving

Screening some Iranian Muskmelon Landraces for Resistance Against Fusarium Wilt Disease using Molecular Markers
Fusarium wilt is one of the most destructive diseases of muskmelon (Cucumis melo L.), which is an economically important disease worldwide causes yield losses in muskmelon growing areas. One of the most effective controlling measures to prevent Fusarium wilt is through host resistance by using resistance genes. We used developed molecular markers for Fom-2 gene, which confers ...

Integrated management strategies for tomato Fusarium wilt.
Fusarium wilt is caused by the fungal pathogens, Fusarium oxysporum or Fusarium solani. It is a devastating disease that affects many important food and vegetable crops and a major source of loss to farmers worldwide. Initial strategies developed to combat this devastating plant disease include the use of cultural, physical and chemical control. None of these strategies have been able to give t...
متن کاملCharacterization of Flax Germplasm for Resistance to Fusarium Wilt
Fusarium wilt of flax (Linum usitatissimum L.) caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lini (Fol) is an economically important disease that can result in severe yield losses. Due to the pathogen’s ability to survive in soil for long periods, it is essential to identify fusarium wilt resistant flax varieties. The objectives of the study were to phenotype and compare a recombinant inbred line (RIL) p...
متن کاملProteomics of Fusarium oxysporum Race 1 and Race 4 Reveals Enzymes Involved in Carbohydrate Metabolism and Ion Transport That Might Play Important Roles in Banana Fusarium Wilt
Banana Fusarium wilt is a soil-spread fungal disease caused by Fusarium oxysporum. In China, the main virulence fungi in banana are F. oxysporum race 1 (F1, weak virulence) and race 4 (F4, strong virulence). To date, no proteomic analyses have compared the two races, but the difference in virulence between F1 and F4 might result from their differentially expressed proteins. Here we report the f...
